Hi I am Ajna!
I am a kid and I have lots of small and big emotions. Sometimes I feel worried, angry and sad just like everyone else. One thing that I know for sure, is that it is ok to feel any emotion; it is only human. I am learning what to do to help me deal with big emotions in a positive way. Sometimes I want to feel more balanced and happy.
I like to take a break and spend time outside in the garden. I am learning many new things from Mother Nature. I have a special pinecone and I feel like it is helping me to discover new things about myself.
I am learning that it is o.k. to try new things and make mistakes. When I feel angry I am learning to find my voice and share my feelings in a way that doesn’t hurt someone else. I am finding gratitude for small things like the sky, the breeze, the grass, and the leaves. It makes me smile inside. Then I feel warm and happy all over.
I have also learned that I love yoga! I have been trying out some poses and they feel really great for my body! When I am upside down in a down dog, I can see the world upside down. It is really cool. You have to try it!
In school I have been learning about mindfulness. My teachers tell me it means being in the moment. Sometimes the best way to stay in the present moment, is by being in nature. We can get lost in the beauty of the trees, the flowers, the seasons and all that the Earth has to offer us. Sometimes we even realize that we don’t need to worry as much as we do. So if you can spend time outside, I say go for it!
I hope you will enjoy reading my story (The Resilient Pinecone) and learn about all the messages that have I received from Mother Nature.
I am feeling more resilient every day from this connection to the Earth and have learned that if I can do hard things, and so can you!
Love Ajna
